Tweet from Kansas Department of Transportation account calls Trump a ‘delusional communist
The Kansas Department of Transportation came under fire and terminated an employee after President Trump was slammed as a “delusional communist” in a since-deleted tweet.
The Twitter account for the agency’s south central Kansas department posted – and later deleted – the attack on Trump shortly after the president lashed out at Fox News anchors including Shepard Smith, suggesting they go work for CNN.
“You’re a delusional Communist,” the account tweeted Sunday. “You know it’s Communist countries that try to control media, right?”
@GovLauraKelly Just so you’re aware… Officials within the Kansas Department of Transportation are tweeting vitriol at the President of the United States and calling him a communist, from their department’s official Twitter account. This should not be permitted. pic.twitter.com/SvXhO8OVg6

Republicans slammed the tweet and called for the responsible person to be fired.
The Kansas Republican Party questioned Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly’s bipartisanship in a statement saying her staff is “too busy attacking President Trump on the Kansas taxpayer’s dime.”
