I noticed that Beto’s big speaking engagement where attn was drawn to his hand movement was happening in Keokuk, Iowa! I was shocked! I’ve actually been to Keokuk, believe it or not! LOL I went with someone for their humongous family reunion there. I had been forewarned that at the reunion, held at this old schoolhouse, they only had an outhouse. I replied that I’d just go to the 7/11 or whatever on the corner. That reply was met with hilarious laughter as they explained that there were no convenience stores. I was informed how small this town was by how excited they were upon getting a stop sign AND a McDonald’s or some fast food place. This was early 90’s to be fair but I cannot imagine it changing THAT much! I looked into it as I was sure the pop. was about 400! LOL It’s now 10k according to the internet. Here’s some facts about this tiny town I recall, not fondly at all, with screenshots. Why would anyone hold a rally there?
