I'm guessing you're not very familiar with firearms? Shotgun at close range would blow the damn windshield out. These windshields don't shatter posts are some of the dumbest I've ever read here.
He's using shotgun rounds that supposedly kill people. Any shotgun round fired at that close of range is going to make short work of a windshield.
