HARLEM, NY — A 17-year-old boy was shot Wednesday in East Harlem during a dispute with a group of men, police said.
The dispute occurred on Madison Avenue between East 11th and 112th streets around 4:15 p.m., police said. After the boy was shot, he ran into a bodega on the block for help, an NYPD spokesman said.
EMS rushed the victim to Harlem Hospital for a gunshot wound to the back, police said. The boy is in stable condition, an NYPD spokesman said.
The shooting is under investigation and no arrests have been made, police said. Four men were seen running from the scene of the shooting and are wanted for questioning, an NYPD spokesman said.
Wednesday's shooting comes just days after a 12-year-old was shot in the leg on East 115th Street and Third Avenue.
