That's a thin argument to try to blame him for any knowledge of that event. Reading the article says he is one of more than 50 people that own a piece of the company - pic related, as well earlier in the article talked about owners not having much to do with the day to day ops.
I'd say fake news, unless more substantial evidence, or proof could be provided.
