Er…physicsfag here re Shuttle meme. Shuttle enters orbit at high velocity so it already has high orbiting velocity. It uses various “thrusters” which push off the craft itself in order to orient the craft while it zips around the Earth. The main engines have done their job by breaking free of Earth’s gravity. They are not used again as the Shuttle re-enters atmosphere and glides back to landing site.
