• Backwards Mapping: This is not as hard as it seems. We get the right people to help us figure out what a 10-12 year old Haitian should know and we map backwards, all the way to preschool. Once we get an end goal in key areas – math, reading, writing, history/social studies, science…we map backwards and start to define what we will teach. And once we decide this, we use some of the tools we've developed in the US in the last 5-10 years to help us write curriculum, produce instructional materials.

Ali, This brings a lot of clarity to the situation. There was no hold up at CBP/DC. Just got off the line with AC Winkowski, let's get the children on he plane and we will parole at point of entry. Will need the following asap to facilitate: - names - airport flying into and time - accompanying escorts - any info available that CIS has that they may have. Let's get the kids on the plane.

Thank you. We‘re soon to land at Teiteboro with the two babies and mothers, we‘re getting off and they‘re continuing on to Boston (amazing generosity of who‘s plane we‘re traveling on). Jane Hall Lute or one other deputies personally B6 spoke to the customs officer in Teiteboro so think we‘ll be ok as all the 'documents‘ exist if not in hard copy with us.
