The body of a service member was discovered near a suspicious device Monday at Fort Sam Houston, prompting a lockdown that lasted about an hour and a half, according to officials.
The body and device were discovered at about 10 p.m., but by 11:30 p.m., security forces had cleared the device and lifted the lockdown.
Air Force officials said no foul play is suspected at this time. The victim's name is being withheld until their family is notified of their death.
