Government Employee Anon

I have to say this is a disappointment. When Trump called out George W Bush for lying us into the Iraq war, and I finally figured out that he was correct about this, I backed Trump.

I worked tirelessly as a phone volunteer for the campaign, calling people in Connecticut, Rhode Island, etc. I was there when Jeb was creamed out of the race. The head of the phone operation for my area was some stupid 20 something that typifies who should not be in politics, people trying to get in and be in charge before they can possibly know shit about anything.

Then I worked even harder on the general election, donated more money than I ever have to any political campaign, prayed for the cause. Spread the wikileaks emails to family members and friends who thought I was nuts.

I am part of a government agency that fulfils a congressional mandate from Article I Section 8 of the constitution, I am going to leave the Clause blank, not to be too specific. This department is outside of its Constitutional limitations, to the detriment of hard working Americans who deserve a shot at the dream, and is basically a slave to corporate paymasters at this point.

I hoped that with my loyalty to the campaign, since the primary, my position within the department, as opposed to being some political animal that announced he was seeking office in the eighth grade, that a "political outsider" who no one gave a shot, that I busted ass for, would give me serious consideration for a political appointment.

Well, we won, it was amazing, then Trump hired NEVERTRUMPERS to do all the hiring. The campaign people I worked for were let go or did not take my calls, including that shit-kicking 20 something who was running RI.

All the political wannabes who think they are entitled to the world because they went to an IV League school, still got the political jobs, even though they opposed him to the point of backing Hildabeast to "preserve the integrity of (neo)conservativism. And I get a photocopy of signed picture of the President and FLOTUS.

Q

You are in dangerous flaking territory.

I suggest you do something

Maybe not, just wanted consideration. A phone call or a rejection letter would have been enough. Thanks for your concern. I think a 38 year old who presented a plan for correcting some systemic injustices deserves a job in his own department more than someone who's defining life achievement is "wanting to be in charge" like AOC, but maybe I am underqualified.

I'll vote for him no matter what! But that matters little as my home state votes Republican every time.

Whether I spend 80 hours of my time that I can get precious OT from my Gov't dept at over $50/hr. and donate hundreds of my own dollars, is another matter entirely.

As far as I can see, Trump is acting like he can win this one without properly acknowledging those who busted ass for him. If that is so, he can do it on his own.

Q is more than able to figure who I am from the info given. If I'm just an isolated case, he can ignore. If he wants my help again, he knows what they have to do. Deliver on 1/3 of what has been implied here.

As far as the job. The one I have now is too good to leave and go back to the mothership anymore. I am not going to let my kids grow up seeing me once every two weeks for an org that could not even acknowledge me, no matter how noble they are.
