The idea that companies are run to make money is proving to be false. Twitter is losing money, FB has been shown to be DARPA and even Fox News is hiring Donna Brazile in spite of its right wing audience.
It's now clear to me that social media and media companies are there to control the narrative. Sure, it's nice if they make money but their primary function is to control whet the public think and spy on them in the case of social media.
It's enough to make me question the very roots of capitalism and democracy. Have we ever been free under this system?
My gut says no.
