Evidence Indicates Link Between North Korean Embassy Break-In And Christchurch Attacks

As the world reels from the tragic terrorist attack against two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, much attention has been given to sensational information about the single named suspect, Brenton Tarrant. However, the hyperfocus on Tarrant distracts from the fact that the Australian national was arrested along with other suspects.

An investigation and analysis by Disobedient Media indicates that Tarrant and the group he worked with likely have professional military connections, are part of the same cell that perpetrated a February 22nd break-in of the North Korean embassy in Spain and potentially have intelligence ties to various agencies that cooperate under the UKUSA Agreement popularly known as Five Eyes (FVEY).

I. Signs Of Professional Military Connections

Despite the characterization of Tarrant in the media, he was no run-of-the-mill white supremacist. Images posted by Tarrant online just before the attack to a Twitter account which had been dormant until March 12 showed that he was in possession of high-capacity magazines and a semi-automatic assault rifle. The weapon and magazines would have been classified as either a “restricted weapon” or a “military-style-semi-automatic” (MSSA) under New Zealand law. A person who possesses or uses a firearm in New Zealand needs to hold a firearms license issued by police. Licenses normally last for ten years unless revoked. Foreign nationals may apply from overseas for a one year license based on their possession of an existing license in their home country.

Suspicions are inevitably raised over how exactly Tarrant and his alleged co-conspirators managed to stockpile the military-grade weapons and ammunition used in the attack in a country with comparatively strict gun laws. Tarrant, who supposedly began to radicalize starting in 2016 and was allegedly unemployed would have had his radical tendencies discovered with a proper background investigation. Police say that another suspect in the shooting was an individual who acquired the necessary Category A license and began to legally stockpile weapons used in the attack.

The extensive travel and access to military grade firearms should have made detection by law enforcement and intelligence services nearly impossible to avoid.

Few now are aware that Henry George, near the end of the 19th Century, was one of three most admired men in America. George’s 1880 book Progress & Poverty sold two million copies worldwide in many languages, describing what caused poverty and a simple tax reform which would end it. But George died (of “stroke”) four days before his potential election as mayor of New York City in 1897. Seemingly overnight George’s name and ideas were wiped from public awareness in America.

Extreme Poverty And Its Solution

Henry George’s analysis of the cause of extreme poverty is both sophisticated and simple. Working people need land on which to labor in order to produce enough to support a family. But undeveloped land is bought in large tracts and held as speculation by wealthy people, making the remaining available land too expensive for most working people to afford. George’s proposed solution was to abolish all existing government taxes and to enact a single tax equal to the fair rental value of all land in its undeveloped condition.

George’s single tax would end the hoarding of land by wealthy speculators while providing all revenues necessary for public affairs. Good land would thereby become available and affordable to those ready and able to develop it for productive purposes. The poor could work their way towards prosperity.

“A Vast and Dominant Pecuniary Interest”

The revolutionary social insight and reform proposal by Henry George were by no means the whole story of Progress & Poverty. George first debunked popular theories of the cause of poverty, including Thomas Malthus’ assertion that the cause is human population growth. After he disposed of each erroneous theory and finally presented his own analysis and solution, Henry George then made this stunning charge:

“[A] vast and dominant pecuniary interest” is present in every nation, regardless of that nation’s political organization, which “… writes laws and molds thoughts…,” and puts active, energetic power behind “elaborate fallacies and fallacious theories” which lead “…in every direction but the right one for an explanation of the evils which oppress and threaten the civilized world.”

Give careful thought to these assertions. Why would a vast, dominant, wealth-seeking entity devote so much energy and power causing others to misunderstand the evils which oppress and threaten them? The answer is clear: because that vast, dominant pecuniary interest was, in 1880, the oppressor of the civilized world. It remains so today, a mere 139 years later.

Food Supply Alert: Rooster Tests POSITIVE For Deadly Contagious Disease In Northern California

A rooster in Redwood City (the Bay Area of California) has tested positive for Newcastle disease. The virus is deadly and known to kill chickens by the flock, disrupting the food supply which is already perched precariously in this volatile economy.

This outbreak is so worrisome that the San Mateo County Fair canceled its upcoming poultry show out of an abundance of caution. Usually, about 250 people show chickens at the June event and it’s popular with children who participate in 4-H activities.

Newcastle disease has been devastating to poultry farmers in Southern California but this is the first time a case has been confirmed in the northern part of the state, according to a report by a CBS local affiliate in San Francisco. Last year, an outbreak killed tens of thousands of chickens in Southern California. Back in 2002, an 11-month-long outbreak killed 3.1 million birds and cost around $161 million. “The worry is it would get into the California poultry industry; California has a very large poultry industry,” veterinarian Tina Peak said.

Peak is one of the very few veterinarians still seeing chickens in Redwood City after the confirmed case. She’s only treating them in the parking lot as a precaution as of right now. “It spreads rapidly and it’s very, very deadly,” Peak said of Newcastle disease. Peak sees many clients who simply own a few chickens in their yards, not just farmers with a large flock of birds, so closing the practice is impractical.

According to a CBS local affiliate in San Francisco, owning your own chickens has become increasingly “trendy,” (very fashionable or in style). Peak warns California’s trend-setting chicken owners not to move their birds and to clean up after handling them in the aftermath of this viral outbreak news. Hilary Yoffe-Sharp owns about a dozen chickens, all of which were rescued from the humane society. She just learned about Newcastle disease and says she’s very concerned. “We’ll definitely be monitoring the situation to make sure our birds stay healthy and safe,” Yoffe-Sharp said.
