California: First Illegal Alien Appointed To State Post

California has been moving to this point for some time now. For the first time in its history, the Golden State has named an illegal alien to a statewide post, which ironically enough after the college scandal last week, that helps to increase college access for students from low-income or underserved communities.

Lizbeth Mateo, a 33-year-old attorney and immigrants rights activist, was appointed to serve by the Senate Rules Committee on Wednesday.

I can't tell you the irony of the Senate appointing someone who is illegally in the country to a position that uses taxpayer money to then use tax payer money again to educate people, including illegal aliens at taxpayer expense

Trump: Facebook, Google and Twitter, not to mention the Corrupt Media, are sooo on the side of the Radical Left Democrats…. ‘We have to do something’ about online discrimination against Republicans

President Trump said Tuesday that “something” needs to be done to stop the anti-conservative bias seen on Twitter and other social media platforms, but didn’t say what his administration might do about it.

“Something is happening with those groups of folks that are running Facebook and Google and Twitter, and I do think we have to get to the bottom of it. It’s very fair. It’s collusive and very, very fair to say that we have to do something about it,” Trump said at the White House Rose Garden with Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.

Google fined S$2.3 billion by EU in anti-trust case

BRUSSELS (BLOOMBERG) - Alphabet Inc's Google was fined a bigger-than-expected 1.49 billion euros (S$2.3 billion) by the European Union for thwarting advertising rivals in what is likely EU antitrust chief Margrethe Vestager's third and final attack on the US tech giant.

It brings the total Google has been ordered to pay to 8.2 billion euros in EU antitrust probes. The company is making efforts to avoid more fines linked to two older cases and is trying to stop potential new investigations into local and job search services.

Wednesday's (March 20) case focuses on Google's role as an ad broker for websites, targeting exclusivity agreements for online ads with its AdSense for Search product.

That service places text advertising on websites, including retailers, telecommunications operators and newspapers.

The problematic contracts were all dropped by 2016, when the EU escalated the investigation. AdSense contributed less than 20 per cent of Google's total ad revenue in 2015, a percentage which has declined steadily since 2010.

Plane catches fire at Teheran airport; 100 passengers evacuated unhurt, says state TV

GENEVA (REUTERS) - An airliner caught fire on landing at Teheran’s Mehrabad airport on Tuesday (March 19) but all 100 passengers were evacuated without injury, the head of Iran’s emergency department said on state television.

Pir-Hossein Kolivand said the fire broke out after the aircraft’s landing gear did not open properly, and was later brought under control.

The plane was a Fokker 100 belonging to Iran Air, the Fars news agency reported.

The pilot was not able to open the back wheels of the plane and circled the airport attempting to open all the wheels before landing the plane on its body, according to Fars.

The plane was flying from Qeshm island in the Gulf to Teheran, according to the IRIB news agency.
