> give state's Electoral College votes to popular vote winner
You mean, like the state elections are now? It beggars the imagination that the Founders didn't extend the protection of an electoral college system to the counties within a state. We now have many states dominated by the popular vote of only one or two populous counties imposing unwanted laws, taxes, and mandates on the un-represented citizens of rural counties.
Counties need to have equal protection under the law as they are now being taxed without equal representation in the legislature. What brave politician is willing to introduce legislation to end the bondage of rural counties?
