Top Prosecutor Leaves Mueller’s Team After GOP Lawmakers Complain to AG Bill Barr About Her Anti-Trump Bias

Another top prosecutor left Mueller’s team this week, making this the second high-profile departure from the Russia witch hunt this month.

Zainab Ahmad, a US Attorney in the Eastern District of New York and Andrew Weissmann’s partner-in-crime was one of the prosecutors on Mueller’s team who signed General Mike Flynn’s guilty plea.

Mueller’s “pit bull” Andrew Weissmann stepped down from the special counsel’s team last week.

Peter Carr, the spokesman for the special counsel said this week that Zainab Ahmad has concluded her work with Mueller.

“Zainab Ahmad has concluded her detail with the Special Counsel’s Office but will continue to represent the office on specific pending matters that were assigned to her during her detail,” Peter Carr said in a statement, reported Yahoo.

Reps. Meadows and Jordan sent a letter to Attorney General Bill Barr on March 1st outlining that Bruce Ohr, according to his testimony to the House Oversight and Judiciary Committee, admitted to telling both Andrew Weissmann and Zainab Ahmad in August of 2016 that dossier author Christopher Steel was “desperate to stop Trump.”

The FBI never told the FISA court that the dossier could be ‘potentially bias’ given the author of it was desperate to stop Donald Trump from becoming president.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) speculated that Zainab Ahmed left Mueller’s team because of a letter he sent to Attorney General Bill Barr pointing out her bias against Trump.

“We sent a letter pointing out that Andrew Weissmann, who is also leaving the special counsel, and Ms. Ahmad met with Bruce Ohr prior to the 2016 election,” Jordan said. “And Mr. Ohr conveyed to them that Christopher Steele, the author of the dossier, had talked to him and he was conveying that information to both of these individuals who went on Bob Mueller’s team that Mr. Steele was desperate to stop Trump. We pointed it out to Mr. Barr. Maybe that had to do with them leaving as well. I don’t know.”

Schumer to Re-Introduce Bill to Rename Senate Office After Warmonger John McCain

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is re-introducing a bill to name the Russell Senate Office building after petty warmonger John McCain.

The move comes amid President Donald Trump’s renewed criticism of McCain’s role in pushing the discredited Christopher Steele dossier and voting against the ObamaCare repeal and replace bill.

“I look forward to soon re-introducing my legislation re-naming the Russell Senate Building after American hero, Senator John McCain,” Schumer tweeted on Wednesday.

Making the situation more awkward, the Russell Building current has offices of senators who are outspoken critics of McCain’s neocon policies, including Senator Mike Lee, and Senator Rand Paul, who the late Never-Trumper accused of working for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

When Schumer originally proposed the idea it faced massive backlash from Republican Senators Richard Shelby, David Perdue, Bill Cassidy and others.

“Senator Russell was a well respected man from the South and up here too,” said Senator Shelby at the time. “He was a well-respected senator.”

Orban’s party suspended from European parliament bloc over ongoing feud with Brussels

Hungary’s ruling right-wing party Fidesz has been suspended from the center-right bloc in the European Parliament, after a growing confrontation between Viktor Orban and the EU leadership came to a head.

Documents earlier leaked on social media revealed that the EPP drafted a plan of action aimed at forcing Fidesz’s compliance. The proposal included a list of “conditions” the organization expects the Hungarians to fulfill, including halting their “fake news” campaign against Jean-Claude Juncker and permanently abandoning such “attacks” in the future. It said that while Fidesz works to implement the demands, their membership will be suspended, barring them from voting or holding positions in the EPP.
