With Epstein getting such a short sentence/plea deal, it gets me thinking-

Are some of these high tier pedos intentionally catching rather small sentences NOW so they can't be charged again when new evidence comes about at a later time?

Can new evidence overturn double jeopardy in this case?

He wasn't acquitted, so jeopardy is still affixed to each of the charges, but does a plea deal affect that?

This seems shady af, and not very uncommon lately.
