Controversial ex-Clinton adviser Doug Band was President Bill Clinton’s aide in the White House and worked at the Clinton Foundation. The late banker and philanthropist David Rockefeller’s house has a new owner who’s also got a background in charitable work.

 

The buyer behind the $20 million sale is Doug Band, a former aide and adviser to Bill Clinton, according to the Wall Street Journal. He bought the house through a LLC.

 

Band, 45, got his start as a Clinton’s White House aide and then continued working for the former president as an adviser until 2011, when Band co-founded a consulting firm called Teneo Holdings.

 

Following Clinton’s presidency, Band played an integral role in creating the Clinton Global Initiative — and also became a controversial figure within the Clinton camp: WikiLeaks published a memo detailing how Band guided donors to approach Clinton with business offers, and then later, as he started his business, Band blurred lines between his work with the former president and Teneo in incidents ranging from booking reservations at exclusive restaurants under Clinton’s name to invoking their relationship to negotiate a higher price from the U.S. Postal Service for a family-owned Sarasota property, among others, as reported by The New Republic. Band and Clinton, who reportedly had a father-son-like relationship, are no longer close.

George Nader a Bigger Scumbag Than We Thought

 

The intrigue surrounding Nader intensified this month, when it emerged he is a convicted pedophile who had been found guilty in both the U.S. and Europe.

 

A Czech Republic court sentenced him to a year in prison in 2003 for ten cases of sexually abusing minors between 1999 and 2002.

 

In one case, Nader asked for oral sex from a 14-year-old boy in a hotel room at the Hilton in Prague.

 

When the boy refused, Nader masturbated in front of him and paid him 2,000 koruna, equivalent to around $100 today, a court official told the Associated Press.

 

Politico then revealed he was convicted in 1986 in a federal court in Northern Virginia in 1991 on a felony charge of transporting sexually explicit materials in foreign commerce – importing child pornography from overseas.

 

He also had a 1986 charge of importing from magazines depicting nude boys from the Netherlands dismissed on a technicality.

 

Axios reported that he frequently visited Bannon in his White House office.

 

During Trump’s transition to the White House, Bill Clinton was at a lavish resort in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic with Nader. That was BEFORE the Mueller investigation. You do the math.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team has been talking with George Nader, a little-known Bannon associate who boasts of his well-placed connections in the Middle East, Axios has learned.

 

Nader has spoken with Mueller's team at least twice, according to a source briefed on the investigation. A second source briefed on the investigation confirmed that Mueller's team has brought Nader in for questioning in the past week. The Special Counsel's office declined to comment.

Nader visited the White House frequently during the early months of the Trump administration. He became friendly with former chief strategist Steve Bannon, visiting his office regularly. A source familiar with the White House meetings said Jared Kushner also met Nader. After asking around about Nader, Kushner decided not to continue meeting with him, according to the same source.
