OK, first time I've ever tried to dig around on Reddit. Maybe others will have more success. Have been trying to find out "what" the rumors are, since NZ media has a blackout on it. Apparently there is something about "Rule 11", fucking Orwellian bullshit, that prevents people from even repeating what they heard.

Rumor 1: Clarke Gayford is gay
Rumor 2: Jacinda Arden is also gay, marriage is for appearances
Rumor 3: Something about Gayford and a "well publicized drug bust"
Rumor 4: Something about a bust in Los Angeles, possible LAX airport
Rumor 5: Something about a photo of Gayford kissing a dude in London
