Weird way to make small kid more open to be like big kid that gets spoken of like a hero? Toe is cut for flexibility to walk for the smaller shoe/kid? Smaller child may have worn the double fit shoe while forced to sacrifice older child . Made to wear shoe as a constant fear reminder and brainwash technique? My honest first thought.
