Michael Jackson’s fixer returns: why Anthony Pellicano has Hollywood running scared
The aftershocks of the Leaving Neverland documentary are still reverberating around the world, but as anyone who is familiar with the Michael Jackson story knows, the first allegations of child sexual abuse against the singer were made more than 25 years ago.
Now, one of the principal characters in that story is about to become “live” after more than 15 years in prison: Anthony Pellicano, the ruthless former private investigator to the stars. It was Pellicano who handled negotiations for Jackson with Evan Chandler, the father of 13-year-old Jordan “Jordy” Chandler. And it was he who labelled Chandler’s accusations “an extortion attempt”.
