For someone off the street, assembly might be too intimidating. OO should be a portal into CS (especially for entrepreneurs) and then once savvy with that, you can see how far the rabbit hole goes. One should learn how to use English or Spanish before making their own language with letters.

>Prerequisites

>Before proceeding with this tutorial, you should have a basic understanding of Computer Programming terminologies. A basic understanding of any of the programming languages will help you in understanding the Assembly programming concepts and move fast on the learning track.

It's not about having a lack of belief in one's capabilities, in fact, when somebody learns to code in general, there is an immense amount of confidence in one's own neuroplasticity. They learn that through dedication they can learn pretty much anything.

What we were arguing is what is a good first place with programming. Most people want to learn programming to do something practical. There some kind of problem or application they want to solve or develop. Most people don't teach themselves programming right away to start working with processors.

But if they do, more power to them.

I'm just saying that higher level languages are good for what most people want to do with programming. I wanted to make an android app. I finished it, but it would have been a waste of time (with the limited amount of time I had) to learn assembly code.
