Yacht Fag here. If you are digging into mega/giga/sail yacht there are a few things to know. Red flag means several shells till you reach the owner. Most crews have an idea what owners/guests do, but are tight lipped. Remember this is where the shady deals come to life. Some like M/Y eclipse have a SCIF onboard as well as hidden subs and panic rooms. Key to info on them is the crew! It will take some liquid encouragement to get them to talk, but they will spill the beans. Target young deckhands and stewardess. They have all the knowledge and little filter since they are new to the industry. Tracking them can sometimes be hard most will turn of AIS if they are up to something they shouldn’t be or if they have high level diplomats onboard…. Ask me how I know…. deckhands only take a pretty lady and some drinks and will spill all the info.
