Ben Rhodes is an Obama-era White House deputy strategic communications adviser who attempted to orchestrate a campaign to “reinforce” Obama and to portray the Benghazi consulate terrorist attack as being “rooted in an Internet video, and not a failure of policy,” Judicial Watch wrote in a blog post last week

Judge Royce Lamberth, who called Hillary Clinton’s use of the private email server “one of the gravest modern offenses to government transparency,” ordered Ben Rhodes to answer questions about the Benghazi scandal under oath — but he’s defying the order.

Never one to back down, Judicial Watch then sought an in-person interview with Ben Rhodes, but the Deep State DOJ and State Department objected to their requests!

The DOJ is harassing President Trump while providing cover for Obama and Clinton, said Fitton.

“Outrageously, the Justice Department is telling the court that they don’t think that we should be able to depose Ben Rhodes,” Fitton said in a weekly briefing. “In fact, they [DOJ] just filed a brief saying that there should be no video depositions released, they should be put under seal of the government employees who we’re going to be questioning.”

Macron says no-deal Brexit if British MPs reject May's plan again

The UK will have to leave the EU with “no deal” if the British MPs reject the EU-backed accord once again, the French President Emmanuel Macron has warned.

The existing draft, which has been consistently rejected by the British parliamentarians, is the result of two years of negotiations and the EU should make it clear that it cannot be simply renegotiated, Macron said during the Brexit summit in Brussels.

If British MPs reject the deal once again, there will be no deal.

The French president also noted that the current situation cannot be prolonged “indefinitely” and the “choice of the British people” has to be respected. “We cannot pretend after three years that the British people did not vote to leave.”

Macron’s message sounded somewhat contradictory, however, as he also said that he is “open to a technical extension” of the Brexit deadline, but he stressed that the ball is in London’s court.

It is up to the UK to tell the EU what its new policy would be, he said, adding that another deadline extension would require a “clear plan” on the UK’s part.

“We must be clear, to ourselves, our British friends and our people. Firstly, we’ve been negotiating the withdrawal agreement for two years. It cannot be renegotiated. Secondly, in the event of another ‘No’ vote in Britain, we will be heading towards a no deal. Everyone knows it,” Macron said as he arrived at a summit of European leaders in Brussels.

The British parliament is expected to vote on the EU-backed offer for the third time next week. Despite two previous defeats in the legislature, Prime Minister Theresa May is still urging parliamentarians to finally support the accord.

She also said that she had asked President of the European Council Donald Tusk to extend Article 50 up to June 30 to give British MPs the time to make a “final choice.” At the same time, she called the fact that the UK would fail to leave the EU on the scheduled date of March 29 a “matter of great personal regret.”

Preschoolers singing 'Jesus Loves Me' walk away unharmed after tornado rips roof off church

'We just blocked out anything else that was going on'

Dozens of preschoolers at a Kentucky church day care hunkered down in a safe room and began singing, "Jesus Loves Me," as the eye of an EF-2 tornado ripped through the building last week.

Moments later, the children and staffers at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Paducah walked out unscathed, the West Kentucky Star reported.

The church's roof was gone, the sanctuary destroyed and the nursery was collapsed, but all 40 children and 10 staffers survived without injury.

What are the details?

Day care Director Michelle Rushing received a tornado notification at about 9:10 a.m. March 14, according to the West Kentucky Star.

Rushing said she promptly activated the day care's safety plan and guided everyone into the building's innermost room.

Soon, the power went out and the children became frightened.

Ten minutes later, the tornado hit.

In an effort to keep the kids calm, staffers began singing songs with them including "Jesus Loves Me" and "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands."

"We were singing with the kids. We just blocked out anything else that was going on and was occupied with making sure the kids were safe," day care teacher Toni Mathis told WPSD-TV.

The staffers and children left the safe room and found it was the only undamaged portion of the building.

Rushing and others at the church credited God for keeping everyone safe.

"I think it didn't really hit me until about 10 minutes after the tornado, after I left here, that — what could have happened, and why God was on our side, and why he was even with us moments leading up to the tornado," Mathis said, according to WPSD.

Was anyone injured in the storm's path?

Only one minor injury was reported across the county, according to authorities.

"The almighty hand of God has provided safety to our community," McCracken County Sheriff Matt Carter told the West Kentucky Star. "The destruction path is approximately five miles long. There are approximately three homes that are devastated but no injuries, and also there is approximately a half-dozen other homes that have sustained minor to moderate damage. This could have been an extremely high fatality rate, and we're very fortunate and blessed to only report that one minor injury."

More than 5,300 residents lost power in the storm's wake.

In nearby Ballard County, there were no reported injuries, officials said. However, two homes and six barns were destroyed. And flying debris injured several cattle that ended up having to be put down.

Facebook "Explains" Why It Failed To Remove Christchurch Shooter's Gruesome Livestream

Though Facebook's AI-powered censors managed to "mistakenly" flag Zero Hedge as a repeat violator of the social network's "community standards", when it comes to livestreamed videos depicting horrific and extreme violence, the company is still working out some kinks in its ability to immediately identify and remove livestreams depicting horrific acts of terror and violence like the video published Friday by the Christchurch Shooter.

In a blog post mea culpa published Thursday, Facebook's VP of Integrity Guy Rosen explained why the company failed to immediately remove the horrifying livestream of the attacks that the shooter, a 28-year-old Australian who also published a manifesto laying out his violent, islamophobic ideology, posted to Facebook Live, and which was viewed 4,000 times before being taken down.

According to Rosen, one reason the video lingered for so long on its platform - Facebook didn't remove the video until police responding to the incident reached out to the company, despite it being reported multiple times - was that the video wasn't prioritized for immediate review by the company's staff. As it stands, Facebook only prioritizes reported livestreams tagged as suicide or self harm for immediate review.

To rectify this, the company is "reexamining its reporting logic" and will likely expand the report categories prioritized for immediate review.

In Friday’s case, the first user report came in 29 minutes after the broadcast began, 12 minutes after the live broadcast ended. In this report, and a number of subsequent reports, the video was reported for reasons other than suicide and as such it was handled according to different procedures. As a learning from this, we are re-examining our reporting logic and experiences for both live and recently live videos in order to expand the categories that would get to accelerated review.

Hundreds Of People Killed In US-led Coalition Strikes In Euphrates Valley: Report

US-led coalition warplanes killed more than 200 people who were hiding in the last ISIS stronghold in the Middle Euphrates River Valley on March 19, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) revealed in a report released on March 21.

According to the UK-based monitoring group, the coalition’s main proxy on the ground, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), banned the media from entering the liberated areas north of the town of al-Baghuz al-Fawqani on March 20 and 21 in order to bury the bodies of the victims and erase any evidence of the massacre.

“The bodies of 200 [people] were buried on Wednesday [March 20],” the SOHR’s report reads.

Despite the SDF’s attempts to hide any trace of the massacre, several Syrian opposition outlets were able to obtain photos of the victims’ bodies. The Deir Ezzor 24 released several such photos. However, SouthFront chose not to share them due to their horrifying content.

The SOHR called for an independent investigation into the massacre in order to determine if the coalition knew about th e presence of civilians when its warplanes struck ISIS positions on March 19. The U.N. will likely ignore this call as it had ignored other crimes of the coalition before.

US President Donald Trump has said that the time has come for the United States to "fully recognize" Israel's sovereignty over the disputed Golan Heights, seized from Syria during the Six-Day War in 1967.

In a tweet on Thursday, Trump said the Golan Heights are "of critical strategic and security importance to the State of Israel" and to "regional security." His decision will be seen as a diplomatic coup for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The move comes after the US State Department dropped the word "occupied" in relation to the Golan Heights in its annual human rights report for 2018 last week. Responding on Twitter, Netanyahu thanked Trump for "boldly recognizing" Israel's sovereignty over the land.

Netanyahu had previously urged top US officials to make the declaration and he is expected to meet with Trump at the White House in the coming days.
