Ok - I'm inspired. Please advise before I start plastering this in every forum I know.

Internet Bill of Rights.

Keep it simple. We already have our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Isn't it just this simple?

The Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and every declaration and right afforded therein, shall apply to the use of the internet.

The internet shall be regarded as a digital town square and the users of the internet shall be afforded every right they are already afforded as United States citizens.

No power or person - governmental, military, intelligence, corporate or otherwise - shall have the right to throttle internet access, to silence lawful free speech, to limit the freedom of the press, and the right to peacefully gather together.

We the people . . .

Right - all I am saying is the laws are already there - they just need say it applys to the Internet.

Thanks!

Of course I am not arrogant enough to think I could write the actual verbage - it's just declaration. LOL Peace and love, patriots!

Yes. i'll say enterprise private or corporate. LOL

As I said before: I am not arrogant enough to think I will take any part in writing the verbage of any bill. My point is that the rights are already there - they are being ignored by businesses and unenforced by government.

Thanks

NO! I could be wrong, but I think if our rights already given were enforced and respected - we wouldn't need to do this. So to keep it simple. just write a Bill or EO that says every right we already possess applies to the Internet.

I agree. But we already have all the rights we are asking for. Business is ignoring them - gov't is not enforcing them - and untiol now we haven't fought for them.
