Thinking this IBOR thing through. Yes, the MSM is dead. They killed themselves by getting caught. But I doubt they are dead forever. Keep in mind they are also regulated by the FCC.
So if the internet companies end up under something like (or even!) the FCC, fuckery will still happen. It will just be an arduous process to unwind given the extra layer of regulation.
I vote with my feet. No Twitter account. Email for family and some business. Limited Facebook, but good friends there.
Nothing is stopping POTUS et al from setting up their own microblogging site. It would be a hit in a heartbeat given all his current followers.
We like our echo chambers. That's why we're here after all. (Do remember that if FB and the like are regulated, so would 8ch fall into that layer.) Is this really a logical path?
I don't always disagree with Q, but when I do, it sticks. Not planning to be a part of this one. Will be subjected to it if it comes into being, but not with my help.
Plus, this #IBOR shit has completely overtaken the discovery work that was taking place even a couple of weeks ago.
Where we one go we all go. Except not really. Never been a cliff jumper.
