Report: Ukraine Probing U.S. Election Interference by Local Officials on Behalf of Hillary Clinton

Ukraine has opened a probe into alleged attempts by domestic government officials to interfere in the 2016 presidential elections in the United States to boost Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton’s chance of winning, the Eastern European nation’s top prosecutor told the Hill in an interview aired on Wednesday.

“Today we will launch a criminal investigation about this and we will give legal assessment of this information,” Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko told the Hill’s John Solomon.

=2020: Top Dem Donors Tell Joe Biden They Won’t Raise Money for Him=

According to CNBC, several donors declined Biden’s request to bundle campaign contributions due to their skepticism regarding whether the 76-year-old establishmentarian could survive a bruising Democrat primary.

I told him, ‘I can donate but I don’t think I can raise you money today.’ The sense we’re getting [from other donors] is yes, he’s a good guy and everybody knows him, but he has run for president a couple times and it didn’t always work out. I think with Biden there’s a feeling of ‘I like him, he’s a really good guy, but he’d be running at a moment in time that a 76-year-old white guy may not be what voters want.’ I don’t want to give chits today for Joe. What’s my benefit?”

Democrat 2020 Candidates Skip AIPAC Policy Conference

None of the declared candidates for the Democratic Party nomination for president will attend the annual policy conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) this year.

Presidential candidates tend to address the conference in election years, which 2019 is not. However, the AIPAC conference is usually an important platform for both parties to showcase their support for Israel.
