USC Blocks Students Involved In Admission Scandal From Registering For Classes & Obtaining Transcripts

The next shoe in the admission scandal saga has dropped.

The University of Southern California has now blocked students who were involved in the admissions scandal from registering for classes and getting their transcripts, according to a brand new CNBC report. Additionally, the students could see their admission revoked and are facing potential expulsion.

Among those students enrolled at USC are actress Lori Loughlin's daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Giannulli. Olivia Jade also recently saw two of her advertising partners — Sephora and TRESemme — drop ties with the social media personality.

“USC has placed holds on the accounts of students who may be associated with the alleged admissions scheme; this prevents the students from registering for classes or acquiring transcripts while their cases are under review,” the school announced in a Tweet.

Crooked Hillary Praises New Zealand Prime Minister’s Swift Gun Grab Following Mosque Shooting

Crooked Hillary Clinton is one of many Democrats who came out and praised the New Zealand Prime Minister’s gun-grabbing legislation following the mosque shooting.

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced on Thursday a ban on all military-style semi-automatic weapons, assault rifles and high-capacity magazines.

This was the same prime minister who bowed to Sharia law and wore a hijab in solidarity with the shooting victims.

Hillary Clinton praised Jacinda Ardern’s “leadership” on Thursday.

“Under Jacinda Ardern’s leadership, New Zealand has banned assault rifles and military-style semi-automatic weapons just six days after the Christchurch mosque attacks. Public servants didn’t stop at offering thoughts and prayers. They chose to act,” Hillary said in a tweet.

The Democrats are waging war on the 2nd Amendment even though it specifically states the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Socialist crackpot Bernie Sanders called for a ban on the sale and distribution of all assault weapons in the US.

Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein (CA), who is the ranking member on the Judiciary Committee said the US needs to follow New Zealand’s example and ban certain firearms.

Feinstein said of New Zealand’s gun grab, “The United States needs to follow these examples and take action to protect Americans from this deadly public health scourge. Without action, our country will continue to face these tragic events over and over again.”

At least 83 people killed in ferry sinking in Iraq

A ferry overloaded with people celebrating the Kurdish new year and Mother's Day capsized in the Tigris River near the Iraqi city of Mosul on Thursday, killing at least 83 people, including families, officials said.

Many of the dead were women and children who could be seen struggling to swim against a strong current, their heads bobbing in the water opposite restaurants and an amusement park where people had been celebrating minutes earlier.

The death toll from the accident, which residents said was the worst in recent memory, was expected to rise as people waited on the banks of the Tigris for news of loved ones.

Col. Hussam Khalil, head of civil defense in Iraq's northern Nineveh province, told The Associated Press the accident occurred as scores of people were out in the tourist area, known as Ghabat, celebrating Nowruz, which marks the Kurdish new year and the arrival of spring.

The boat had been ferrying people to a small island nearby.

Abdulrazzaq Falih, a rescuer with the river police of Mosul, said he pulled more than 20 bodies from the water.

"Children, women and young, what can I tell you? It was a difficult situation," he said.

A man who identified himself as Abdul-Jabbar al-Jbouri appealed for the police to look for his wife and children.

"My wife and three daughters are in the water!" he screamed.

Interior Ministry spokesperson Maj.-Gen. Saad Maan said 55 had been rescued, including 19 children.

Israel’s leaders on Thursday welcomed US President Donald Trump’s announcement that the time had come for the United States to “fully recognize” Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, while the Palestinians warned the move would further destabilize the region and lead to bloodshed.

“After 52 years it is time for the United States to fully recognize Israel’s Sovereignty over the Golan Heights, which is of critical strategic and security importance to the State of Israel and Regional Stability!” Trump tweeted.

There was no immediate reaction from Syria, which has long vowed to recover every inch of the Golan from Israel.

In Israel the move won widespread praise, but coming just weeks before Israel’s elections, much of the reaction was framed by the campaign.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu led the praise of Trump, calling the move a “new Purim miracle.”

Speaking at a press conference with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Netanyahu said Trump had “made history.”

“I called him. I thanked him on behalf of the people of Israel. He did it again. First, he recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and moved the US embassy here. Then, he pulled out of the disastrous Iran treaty and re-imposed sanctions.

“But now he did something of equal historic importance — he recognized Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights, and he did so at a time when Iran is trying to use Syria as a platform to attack and destroy Israel. And the message that President Trump has given the world is that America stands by Israel.”
