Anyone considering this label is wrong… "You will never, in your entire life, be anything other than a Felon." It is a lie. It is a record of a wrong doing, and does not have to be a "life". Much to do with self-worth and their upbringing, learning how to deal with labels, criticisms, and lies.
This whole premise is befallen our young today… Oppression - Feelings - Safe Spaces - Hate Speech garbage.
People have failed to teach their young that feelings, thoughts, and actions all work together. We are creatures of habit. It's how you handle all of those that will be your destiny.
My Thought - Is it right or wrong? MAGA hat
My Feeling - Is it right or wrong? Hurts/Angers me (wrong feeling)
My Action - Is is right or wrong? Physical violence (wrong action)
If the answer to all is right, you can be happy with yourself and life is good. Otherwise, if one of these is wrong, you will not be happy with yourself because it rears its head over and over.
This little thoughts/feeling/actions triangle is very rewarding to use as a parent when teenagers try your patience, especially if there is a punishment involved. You should be right about your proper punishment decision.
It's the ole parental teaching that gets left out today, "Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me." It is the "Felon" that needs to learn this, because others will always say the wrong thing. The Felon, himself, needs to learn that he has self worth and his mistake is not forever. My guess would be that all felons need proper therapy and "us" is not professionally trained.
Hired a couple of felons to work in a business years ago and they were fine, but I could see that they had a huge problem if you had to correct something they were doing wrong. It seemed to just linger and linger - make more out of it with co-workers.
This is not just a Felon issue.
Close friend was a psychiatrist. Learned a lot.
I know, I wordfagged it.
And it won't hurt muh feelings if whoever calls me a stupid uneducated faggot, because I am good with who I am… Just passing on my thoughts on "us helping felons".
