I have to admit, with some remorse, that I've become almost completely desensitized to news about mass shootings, even knowing some people might actually be killed in these events.
One thing I often find amazing about these things is how money channels start to open up to the victims and their families.
Although every circumstance is different, If I really lost a loved one, for any reason, the last thing on my mind would probably be 'how am I ever going to afford this?' But this seems a bit too common:
"A GoFundMe account has been set up to help Aiello’s family."
Also, the timing of this incident is hard to ignore.
