“Satire with a purpose,” Bernard calls their work. (Bernard was roommates in the Bronx with rising progressive star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and says she influenced his politics.)

With roots in coding, Nathan Bernard turned his tech skills to the world of content. Specifically, political satire in a similar vein to Vic Berger and Todd Dracula.

That’s awesome. I didn’t realize you’d branched out from hobby Twitter bots to really complex commercial ones.

That wasn’t the plan, to be fully honest. I’d just built those Twitter bots for fun, which I’m sure we can talk some about. Surprisingly, though, in some ways, we started getting inbounds for bigger companies — some as large as FanDuel — and we build everything from Slack bots, Messenger bots, and some Twitter bots. We just started to realize people will pay us to do this, and started building that alongside mobile apps.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/hannity-defiant-after-fox-news-execs-ask-him-to-stop-calling-sara-carter-investigative-reporter

Fox News host Sean Hannity has ignored calls from network execs that he stop promoting frequent guest Sara Carter as an “investigate reporter.”

Network executives have made the request in response to her reporting not being vetted or meeting the network’s editorial guidelines, according to Mediaite.

Hannity features Carter on the show almost nightly to discuss the “deep state” and other stories on her eponymous website. She is barred from appearing on the network’s news programs. Fox News has also banned former Trump official Seb Gorka from the network’s non-opinion shows.

Despite the ask, Hannity has shown defiance and continues to refer to Carter as an investigative reporter.

Carter, a Fox News contributor, was previously a national security correspondent for Circa News, and has written for the Washington Examiner.

It’s not the first time executives have asked Hannity to change his coverage. They intervened in 2017 to ask the host to stop covering conspiracies surrounding the death of Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich. Hannity agreed to the request.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/justice-department-worried-about-bias-of-confidential-source-in-fisa-application-based-on-chiristopher-steele-dossier

They reveal that Stuart Evans, deputy assistant attorney general of DOJ's National Security Division at the time, had "continued concerns" about the "possible bias" of a source being used in the FISA application but that Lisa Page had a sense of urgency about the FISA application being submitted quickly and was considering ending "the hold up" with "a high-level push."

"OI [Office of Intelligence] now has a robust explanation re any possible bias of the chs [Confidential Human Source] in the package," Page texted McCabe on Oct. 12, 2016. "Don’t know what the holdup is now, other than Stu’s continued concerns. Strong operational need to have in place before Monday if at all possible, which means to ct tomorrow. I communication you and boss’s green light to Sty earlier, and just sent an email to Stu asking where things stood. This might take a high-level push. Will keep you posted.”

Page said she would press the issue with Evans by "invoking" McCabe's name. Further texts show that a meeting would eventually be set up including then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates at the direction of the White House. The FISA application, relaying heavily on Steele's dossier, would be submitted to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court just days later.
