Not sure I 100% entirely agree with you on that. Yeah, people get worn down and lose track of things, but pontificating a "right" and "wrong" way to guide yourself existentially is an individual thing, not a universal. There are some basic guidelines, or "truths", if you really want to stretch it. However, based on what we believe to have learned with Q should be a big huge glaring neon sign indicator that "something just isn't right about any/all of this shit". Approx 100k years of human existence and "evolution" and we finally "discovered" "God", in the correct form? Mind you, about 2,000 years ago?
