Someone mentioned that they wrote a script to send 10k requests and watched the counter jump. I assume the same person was going to attempt to manufacture an "everyone's leaving, guys. We're all going back to our kosher platforms" narrative using a scripted counter boost followed by a drop off. qmap.pub operator changed the counter to be current users, possibly suspecting the same type of attack or possibly unrelated.
