My fellow Americans, today is a day that will go down in history. Since the inception of this great nation, politicians have been elected to represent the citizen's interests in Washington based on their promises of action. Too often, the ones that we have trusted the most have betrayed us. Their empty promises and the pursuit of their own self-serving interests has given many politicians a bad reputation. And rightfully so, I must say.

Although it was not often well received by the main street media and those with unethical special interests, during my campaign, I spoke openly about the corruption in Washington. I made a promise to the American people that if elected, we would drain the political swamp. Let me make it clear today, we are doing just that!

With the dedication of countless patriots in our intelligence community, military, and citizen army, the crumbs of corruption were followed throughout our government. From some of the most trusted governmental agencies to the halls of congress, the stench of corruption was found everywhere.

It would be bad enough if the broken promises and under table deals were the extent of illegal acts. Pocketing bribes and kickbacks in exchange for influence. Sadly, I am here to tell you that things are much darker than you can imagine. But do not give up hope, the darkness of night is ending. Beginning today, the light shall shine.
