Anon, you're on the right path eating organic. I have heard one nutritionist expert (in the interests of disclosure, he is part of a supplements company) that says all oils are bad, because they start breaking down and when they do that, they become trans fats, I believe. The only oil I use is in mayonnaise, and I use one made with Avocado Oil.

He advocates eating at least 6-12 eggs per day as it provides important support for the brain and body as "the perfect food," but poached. Personally, I have about a dozen a week, but cook over low heat without oil, so not really fried.

I've spent decades researching this stuff, after starting as a vegetarian eating organic my Senior year in high school. I eat wild fish, Chicken and Turkey, now. Probably my biggest take away is, if you get the correct nutrients, you won't be as likely to be overweight. More than one nutritionist claims that dieting, and exercise won't help you lose weight and keep it off, but good nutrition will. Seems to be working for me.

Have a speedy recovry, fren. Stay healthy!
