Yeah it doesn't have to be on at all. My offline for example is the computer they trashed which I then cut the modem wire to make sure no connection could establish. It wasn't an issue since that was an older computer but it got fucked up after the original FB digs last year. Actually worked out well because now I can use that whenever I need to write and store data and not have to worry about any backdoors which I am sure are hidden all the fuck over the place.
