Anons, really feelin' for those Nebraska farmers and all of the flooding caused by that "Bomb Cyclone". Many lost everything, including computerized farm equipment, planted fields, and cows. Lots of damage at the military base. Now the MO river is starting to rise, expecting flooding.
Bomb cyclone - Never heard of this before but guess that it was defined in the 1980's. Some referring to it as a land hurricane. Barometric pressure drops at least 24 millibars in a 24 hr. period.
Prolly out on the limb here, but could that be something man-made? That FL/AL Hurricane last year was messed up.
