I agree with you 100%, and I’m all for keeping guns away from anyone who could be a threat to themselves or others. This is an extremely difficult issue though, because we all know crooked cops and judges that could (and do) side with vindictive people to disarm someone just because they don’t like them.
I haven’t looked over this current red flag legislation in detail yet, but even if it’s well written, there is still that risk of it being manipulated and misused. A definite conundrum.
I think they are hoping to take any accusation or innuendo from it, no matter how unfounded, and blow it up into a big issue like they did with the Russia BS.
I believe Barr will make as much public as possible, with only necessary portions (GJ info, sources and methods, etc) redacted. Unfortunately, the Dems will be able to play off redactions and make the sheep believe that the real “dirt” is being hidden. They’re grasping at straws, and will twist whatever they can to fit the narrative.
It will all be moot in the long term, as more truth about the Deep State dirty dealing are exposed.
