Well, "never" is a slight exaggeration. It only seems like never.
To me, the parallel is that the people who accept change are those who have nothing left to lose ("freedom's just another word….). The other ones haven't allowed themselves the kind of experiences that let us know that God is the great Provider, not our boss, the govt, etc. You have to surrender to find this out. Pharisee "types" won't take the chance.
It's strange but I'm grateful to realize that I know how to do it. That's why I was afraid of baking–because I thought I'd make mistakes I couldn't correct. Now I know I can do it. Man, I'm just so grateful to be here.
