Agreed. He's from my area, which used to have a major Air Base active in it that had a huge impact on Central Valley culture. Nunes embodies the best of it IMO: salt-of-the earth ruralite practicality meets military strategic oversight. Humble, no nonsense, no fanfare, just focused on deliverables, efficient and effective.
