Remembering Sqn Ldr Bertram Arthur 'Jimmy' James M.C.
After being shot down over Holland in his Wellington bomber Bertram Arthur 'Jimmy' James was sent to numerous POW camps inside Germany. He tunnelled out of them all and was considered an 'arch escaper'.. eventually being sent to Sachsenhausen concentration camp where he tunnelled out and escaped.
