What is the difference between them and Politicians? Not much. If there isn't anything to investigate, get to the bottom of, etc. they feel they won't be reelected. I'm not sure how many people go out and vote for people because they think, "You know, that guy made some pretty kick-ass laws."

Moar investigations, hearings, subpoenas = Job security.
