The reparations debate needs to be done with, and perhaps some money will need to be paid out.
The question, though, will be the amount:
How much do black Americans owe the rest of us, for all of the crime and the trillions of dollars in wasted welfare payments?
Surely, the $$$ figure will be very high.
One good suggestion has been for a surtax on NBA players' salaries and NBA gross receipts.
Perhaps another would be on certain entertainment acts.
But at some point, the money is going to have to be paid by lower class blacks themselves, and that will require some hard decisions in public policy going forward.
