art fag here. totally noticed a dark culture creeping into the young minds of art lately. it is what is pushed at them in music videos, television, even print…. its time to start pushing back with humor and beauty again… these younger artists are inspired by the huge galleries, and we all know those galleries are the ones who are behind some of the disturbing aspects of what art has become all while hiding the true masterpieces in vaults underground so we never really see works by true masters of art.

Well it used to be conceptual but now it is dark, but there are some really talented artists and the younger generation is fascinated (as i was when i was younger) by fantasy and esoteric imagination… which is great, but the darkness of gore and blood seem to have become prevalent and i just tell them no one is going to buy that dark stuff. but imagination and fantasy art do sell well. its just an interesting observation. I do know that the high end art schools these days push DARK, Pornagraphic and some disturbing stuff on the students.
