What I cannot figure out about Snowden:

1) If he was never really in Russia, why did Russia play along with the story that he was?

2) If Snowden IS in Russia, and always has been, why did Putin keep him, if it's not benefiting him in some way

The only thing that makes sense to me at this point is if Snowden IS Russian
