The unabridged version of the Count of Monte Cristo is BY FAR my favorite novel of all-time. The reason I love it so much is because of the extraordinary, unfathomable lengths Edmond Dantes went to to extract the most brutal, soul-crushing revenge imaginable on the people who wronged him.
