Fren, I had to get out of a bad marriage about 20 years ago.
Was it hard on the child and me? God yes. Awful.
But I got through it. Kiddo is grown and okay now.
I am married to a like-minded anon who I respect and cherish. We are not young and therefore particularly appreciate the aspects of having an agreeable and helpful companion.

If spouse is threatening suicide you should involve the police. For her own good she needs professional help at this point.
It sounds like you have done all you can, and the children need to be protected from further exposure.
Any doctor or lawyer is a "mandated reporter" and is capable of providing correct guidance to you as well.
