My guess, they're hoping people will get really vocal with insisting she's dead, then they'll trot her out alive. This is so that when she really is dead in a few more weeks or months, they can refer back to this event when she isn't seen publicly again for a long time. And ask, how many times do they have to prove she's alive, we've already been through this.
