Divorcing in 1940, she ditches her middle(maiden?) name and becomes Janet Lee Auchincloss, marrying H D Auchincloss, former Groton, Yale and Columbia alumni, Navy specialist and Wall Street broker who's net worth in 1970 was reported at todays' equivalent of nearly $700 million. It is here that the name Gore enters the line thru Auchencloss' great-grandson,Thomas Gore but am unable to connect links. Also notations of Auchincloss' second wife to have been Nina Gore. Janet was his second or third wife, his first wife of Russian nobility, Maya de Chrapovitsky (the highest of nobility), son to Charles Rand. Notations of a marriage to Alice Lyon also.
Jackie's father John Bouvier was the eldest of 5 children of Maj. John Bouvier and Atty. Maude Francis Seargent, His great-grandfather was Michel Bouvier who immigrated to Philly from France after Napoleon was defeated at Watelroo. He was a cabinet maker who bought large tracts of land for the timber he needed which wound up being laden with oil, and thus wealth began to flow. The real estate he acquired also produced wealth. His marriages produced more than 10 children, one was Michel Bouvier who became successful in world finance and Wall Street and heir to most of the fortune.
John Bouvier attended Yale and was a member of the Book and Snake club and Cloister secret societies.
After graduation, he worked at a brother-in-laws brokerage firm. After 3 yrs. he joined the Navy and later transferred to the Army as a Major, then returning to Wall St. after discharge.
Jackie's sister Caroline married Prince Stanisław Albrecht Radziwiłł, Governate of the Russian Empire. Caroline goes on to marry Auchincloss Jr., an Atty. with Standard Oil. She later married Ruherford of DuPont who's ancestors served under Pres. Polk (most citations exclude this marriage). She went on to marry Morris (of Phillip Morris?) in 1979 and then Ross(film) in 1988. Interestingly, citations show both Caroline and mother Janet to have married in to the Auchincloss family. I wonder if Caroline and sister Jackie were twins or assumed each others identity or their lives were melded in some way and included their mother just to mix it up.

Observation: If the faces of JFK and wife Jackie Kennedy are compared to that of Jimmy Carter and wife Roslyn, it becomes obvious that the Carter's are/were the older version of JFK and Jackie.
