Multiple meanings, natch.

May Day is a holiday in UK, falls on 6 May this year but that's not the marker, I think.

First of May? "Same enemy, same fight, workers of the world unite", Kek.

And then there is the dance around the May Pole (polls).

Mayday distress call, sure.

Mayday, an international radio distress signal used especially by ships and aircraft, has a more linguistic origin than the pragmatic approach of S.O.S. Although a connection to the month of May might seem likely, it is actually an anglicization of the French m’aidez or m’aider, meaning ‘help me’.

[An] article in the British newspaper The Times, […] notes that Mayday is chosen in preference to S.O.S. “owing to the difficulty of distinguishing the letter ‘S’ by telephone”.

Soooo Mayday ~ m'aidez, coz muh S is not so distinguished. And is not SOS – not the Same Ole Shite, natch.

Exciting times, Anons.

ENRICHED [EARLY LAYER RELAY] CHALKS

Anagram (one of many)

A. Enriched

B. Chalk

C. Layers

Enriched can mean making someone or something moar rich. Or making someone rich, simply.

Chalk is a wonderful clue that in the context of these Q posts can provide a trail of crumbs in one of several directions. The child aspect alone is quite awful to contemplate (the choice is always yours). And layers is a clue that harkens back to previous Q Posts regarding lawyers/layers and the web's spider. All of this activates the almonds, for me at least.

In short, here is a trail of crumbs that leads back to U-1 and Canada.

Chalk, Chalk River, nuclear industry of Canada.

AECL’s CANDU reactor division was sold in 2011 to Candu Energy Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of SNC Lavalin Group.

PM Tru-doh! SNC scandal is yuge and growing now.

The layers and the lawyers and the whitewashing is an ongoing thing for U-1. The origin of the name, Chalk, is "whitening" or washing the exterior of stone or brick buildings with whitewash, watery mixutre derived of lime. Chalks in oldentimes were professional whitewashers – a trade that was very common and used all over UK. Whitewashing was not a one-time only deal. Had to be done two or moar times per year to protect the established edifices and ensure survival against the natural elements. The rich relied on whitewashers to protect what had been costly to build. Permanence required whitewashing. Without it, no permanence. Think painting on layers and layers of watery lime to 1) protect and 2) make brighter or more attractive.

Later I'll post an example of how these crumbs lead also to UK and to the international biz of uranium enrichment and reclaiming plutonium – and of course weapons.

Cheers Anons.

CHALK ENRICHED LAYERS

Highly enriched uranium, U-235, at Chalk River, Canda.

Spent nuclear fuel. Availability of nuclear material. Impediment to making weapons?

Canada is one of the world's major producers of nuclear substances. Chalk River has been the major supplier of medical isotopes.

October 2011: AECL’s commercial operations are acquired by Candu Energy Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Canadian engineering company SNC-Lavalin. AECL remains a federal Crown corporation and the corporate head office moves to Chalk River.

February 2012: Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd.’s nuclear research labs are up for sale, after the $15-million sale of AECL‘s Candu nuclear reactor business to SNC-Lavalin in October.
