What needs to end is states being dominated by one or two population centers using the popular (mob) vote to legislate against the wishes of the majority of counties. We need an Electoral College system so that Counties receive equal protection under the law and have equal representation in taxation and regulation. The States have it for Federal elections, we must have it for the Counties.
