When your bail is set at 100k, you go to a bail bondsmen who in exchange for paying the 100k to the court requires 10% plus assets (your home) to cover the 90% he puts up. The 10% is payment to the bondsman, that's how they make a living. If you fail to show to court, the bondsmen is out 90% and then comes after you. If his bail was a 100k, 100k is paid to the court by someone. Whatever, the whole thing at the moment makes little sense other than fuckery afoot.
